Resumo: | The present study aimed at examining how the bodies are composed with and without disabilities from the Xakriabá knowledge circulation practices, considering their associations with other humans and also non humans. There was a search in the ethnographic framework of the Actor-network Theory (ANT) to find methodological subsidies to carry out the participantobservation taking place in the Xakriabá Indigenous Territory, more precisely in the Barreiro Preto and Imbaúba Villages from 2017 to 2019. The theoretical-methodological study choice based on ANT was because such Theory enables the visualization and analyses agency of the humans and non humans’ actors in the community practices. Therefore, the theoretical references used supported discussions about the historical construction of the concept “disability” and its implications in the public politics and its occurrence in the school, as well as the perceptions of different indigenous people about bodies with disability. Four episodes of knowledge circulation experienced in the Barreiro Preto Village were described and analyzed; two of them involved regular school practices and intercultural practices; and two about daily practices regarding relative’s relationships. In our analysis it was possible to determine that a same body can be composed with and without deficiency from their association and affections with various agents, humans or not. It was verified that the existing categories about people with deficiency in the public politics contribute for the building of bodies with deficiency, explained by the biomedical view of the body. It was observed that the relative net and the participation in the community practices contribute for a building of bodies without deficiency by allowing that everyone, independent of their differences, took part in the knowledge circulation according to each one’s capacity. The results showed the importance of the community practices in the building of bodies without deficiency and highlighted the urgency of rethinking the educational politics concerning the Special Education of the indigenous people, a demand presented by them. |
