Resumo: Chagas disease is still a major public health problem that affects millions of Brazilians. Most individuals with Chagas disease is in the indeterminate form of the disease and about 30% have manifestations of the cardiac form, which is the most important clinical expression of the disease, due to its high morbidity and mortality. Diagnosis of the disease can cause significant changes the patients' lives due to multiple adversities that make it a stigmatizing disease and if they are not prepared, it can have negative consequences, compromising the health-related quality of life (HRQOL). The objective of this research was to study the profile of life's quality in two groups of patients with Chagas' disease, one composed of 46 patients with right bundle branch block (RBBB) and the other consisting of 65 patients without apparent cardiopathy and to investigate factors associated with scores through the Short-Form 36. Univariate and multivariate analysis by ordinal logistic regression was performed. Patients with RBBB had lower scores in the areas of quality of life when compared to patients without apparent heart disease. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that the presence of RBBB, females and lack of family support were independent predictors of lower scores of HRQOL.
