Resumo: | In 2010, Jaques Wagner ran for Bahia State government reelection and Dilma Rousseff for the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil, both from the Workers Party. To win the elections, a distant path to victory was started because the struggle to persuade voters requires the use of many strategies. As one of the strategies, ordinary and prestige supporters were introduced in order to build a good image of the candidates and cause pathemic effect on the voters. By understanding that supporters are essential in a discussing strategy of political-electoral agreement, it was started a research that culminated with this dissertation in which an analysis of four election campaign videos was conducted: two of the candidate Dilma Rousseff and two of the candidate Jaques Wagner. The corpus was selected because it presented a greater diversity of prestige supporters since the analysis was concentrated on the role that these supporters played in political propagandas. At that time, the main prestigious supporter of the candidates Wagner and Rousseff was the president of Brazil Luis Inácio Lula da Silva. In order to analyze the way in which supporters exert influence over election campaigns, it was used the Semiolinguistic Theory seeking, thereby delimiting the situation and the communication contract to be analyzed. The Argumentative Discourse Analysis of Amossy ( 2010) and Lima (2006) was also used to examine the videos since discussions are an integral part of speech. |
