Resumo: This work aims to present the importance of studying units of measurement by exploring the historical context, political, economic, and sociocultural relevance, as well as the evolution of the concept of these units over time. The research also discusses paradigm shifts in the study of units of measurement, particularly in relation to commercial exchanges and their impact on people's daily lives, leading to the establishment of the International System of Units (SI). Furthermore, the research seeks to enhance the understanding of this subject by incorporating necessary concepts and insights from Metrology, which enable more precise and efficient results through the adoption of physical constants rather than material objects. This contributes to scientific and technological development, as well as addressing topics in Modern and Quantum Physics due to the new definitions of the SI. Additionally, the study explores the interdisciplinary connection of the discussed content, employing the Theory of Conceptual Fields, a method developed by the French mathematician, philosopher, and psychologist Gérard Vergnaud. This approach helps students comprehend the researched content. The study is mediated by the use of an educational product in the form of an e-book, designed as a learning tool for teaching Physics to first-year students in public high schools. Titled "PRECISION PHYSICS IN THE TEACHING OF UNITS OF MEASUREMENT: A Guide for High School Students," the digital book provides comprehensive and didactic content on units of measurement, from their historical context to their significance in the field of Science. It also incorporates the selected topics with the use of new technologies in a dynamic and interactive manner, making it suitable for various teaching and learning situations.
