Resumo: |
This dissertation describes the experiences of pleasure and suffering in the work of public servants of a unit of the Public Defender of the Union (DPU). It uses as theoretical contribution the psychodynamics of the work founded by Christophe Dejours, when analyzing the work and its repercussions for the experiences of pleasure and suffering. It addresses the phenomenon of precariousness of work, new forms of management in the public service and their interference in work processes, relationships between the group of workers and work experiences of public servants. As to the specific objectives: to describe the labor context of the DPU, to identify factors of pleasure and suffering at work, to present the possible forms of precariousness within the institution and to understand if precariousness and factors of pleasure and suffering influence the labor context. It uses as a methodology the semi structured interview with 05 (five) servers, whose effective time in the institution is over 06 (six) months. Results show that the work organization of the DPU's servers is characterized by excessive attributions concentrated in the same individual, lack of clarity regarding the activities that must be performed and lack of a structured career. With regard to pleasure and suffering at work, the subjects said that the relations of friendship and the fact of working in an institution directed to the most vulnerable population contribute to having labor pleasure, affirmed that the suffering is linked to the lack of physical structure, lack lack of autonomy and recognition by superiors. Lack of recognition, as well as the overload of work, damages the health of the worker, and decreases his engagement in work activities. The result points out that individualism has prospered and cooperation, increasingly rare, signals a difficulty in forming collective defense strategies to make the environment healthier. We emphasize that studies that specifically address the public service are important insofar as many will work for long periods in the same institution and if this activity does not bring satisfaction or is harmful to the individual the entire society loses. In conclusion, social organizations should promote the health of their staff with measures that allow the recognition and transformation of labor suffering into pleasure. |
