Resumo: |
This thesis is part of a set of research carried out by the Laboratory of Studies on Political and Cultural Elites (LEEPOC), located in the Research and Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences of the Federal University of Maranhão, which aim to examine juxtapositions between “politics”. and “culture” in Brazil. The work presented here, specifically, is part of a collective LEEPOC agenda that addresses the relationship between the conditions of exercising political activity professionally and the dedication to the work of production and written publication by Brazilian parliamentarians, working between 1945-2010. In this research, “development” is taken as the category of perception and constitution constituted and constitutive of / in the strategies of these specialists. Starting from the prosopographic method, trajectory analysis and examination of published writing by politicians, we reconstitute the activation of assets and resources simultaneously with the editing, by the agents, of texts written with themes related to “development”. We found 74 cases of parliamentarians who denote, in the titles of "works", affinities with debates about "development". We have collected and compared their biographical data (social, political and cultural inscriptions). We also divided the agents into four generations according to the moments of “political entry”. We follow the process of redefining the modalities of political specialization and reactivating the issue of “development” as an instrument of political and cultural position making. |
