Resumo: |
Human relations are inexhaustible sources of research, interaction with others, within a system of social rules, tends to be a very rich field of study and analysis on the individual's interaction with others and with the world. This interaction starts from bringing together those who have equal interests, tastes and ideologies and distancing those who are unequal, thus, the individual sees, and is seen at all times. In this constant observation, people tend to analyze and judge any social breach or deviation, those that do not fit into what has been socially established as correct. There are groups that are marginalized because they disagree with these imposed standards, for example the object of study of this dissertation, lesbians, who, by denying what is socially imposed on them, are stigmatized as abnormal, sick, dirty and exposed to different types of violence, including sexual violence. In this sense, the present dissertation aims to explain the historical/social perception of lesbianism addressed in the work a shadow on the wall by Josué Montello. This study is relevant as it is an invitation to reflect on the issues associated with female homoeroticism. For its theoretical foundation, we resorted to studies by Montello (1995), Rich (2012), Rios (2003) and others who contributed/contribute significantly to the construction of dialogues about lesbianism. The methodology used consists of bibliographic studies, extracted from the work of Josué Montello, articles, dissertations and theses consulted in repositories, google academic and scielo, using a qualitative approach. After completing the research, it was observed that, although there are people researching and talking about lesbian existence and resistance, there is still a long way to go so that this group stop being socially stigmatized. |
