This study weaves a historical narrative of ColégioAnchieta do Maranhão, located in Pinheiro / MA, in order to expand knowledge about the history of Maranhão and national education. The research had as main categories, the school culture, the subjects and the institution's practices between the years 1970 to 1973. The time frame refers to the period in which the college was founded and remained as a private teaching institution. To this end, the study mobilized the methodology of oral history being complemented by documentary and historical analysis, considering minutes, regulations, authorization for operation, student manual, journalistic source, photographs, interviews with 2 groups of subjects who worked at the Institution (5 teachers and 3 alumni), among other documents. The bibliographic research was based on the assumptions of (Nova) Cultural History, based on the contributions of Ginzburg (2009), Burke (2008), Le Goff (2013), Chartier (2002) and Pesavento (2012) and, it was also necessary the support in the studies carried out by VinãoFrago (1995) and Juliá (2001) with regard specifically to the discussion that took place around school culture and its materiality. The school practices analyzed allowed us to perceive the classroom as a privileged space for reading and writing as a guiding thread of other knowledge, permeated by the discipline, as well as ways to quantify learning and also the contribution of school parties that were privileged moments for learning content, disseminating knowledge, norms and values legitimized by the school and society. In view of the results obtained and the construction of the text, the importance of this research was evident for the community of Pinheiro and for studies in the area of the history of education in Maranhão, as it brought subsidies for understanding the process of expansion and / or interiorization of the school system. By situating the interrelations of private, municipal and state power. Thus, it was possible to identify some evidence of the History of ColégioAnchieta do Maranhão which was constituted and represented in its different contexts, experiences, spaces and time that marked the school cultures of the researched institution. |
