Resumo: Following the research line of the Laboratory of Studies about Political and Cultural Elites (LEEPOC/UFMA), aimed at investigating the intersections of political and cultural domains based on the study of the work of building trajectories of multinotability and the invention of “political genealogies”, this dissertation examines the construction of the “public image” of Flávio Dino de Castro e Costa (PSB), former governor of the state of Maranhão (BR) and named minister of Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court. Initially, we seek to reconstruct Flávio Dino's trajectory since his “entry onto the scene” in local political domains, situating his investments, networks of relationships and developments in his career in academic domains and in the judiciary. In a second moment, analyzing articles from the newspaper “Estado do Maranhão” and the news portal “Imirante”, we focus on the reorientations of Flávio Dino’s profile throughout the elections in which he ran (2006-2022), starting to capture the classifications granted to the agent during this period. Finally, to analyze the elections that took place in 2022, in which Flávio Dino was elected senator, we specifically explored the articles from two local blogs, one being openly opposed and the other openly favorable to the agent. Profiles of the former governor's social accounts networks (Youtube and Telegram) were also analyzed, aiming to understand the affirmation strategies used by the agent in this campaign.
