Resumo: This study emerged from the need for discovering actions of heritage education that have been already developed in the Serra da Capivara National Park (PNSC). It refers to the PNSC cultural heritage and how its education program is carried out. The need for conducting this study emerges from the fact the researcher perceived daily an inconsistency among the discourses of the communities surrounding the PNSC, that sometimes criticizes it, while other times are thankful for what had been taught. In this sense, the study brings to light the issue of ‘What is taught?’ referring to how most of the projects carried out with communities are not available and from easy-access to public knowledge. Methodology is based on a Systematic Literature Review which gives an overview of the subject and an in-depth analysis on the group of documents retrieved from some selected academic repositories. Finally, it aims at identifying the heritage education as an enhancer for the protection and preservation of the cultural heritage in the Serra da Capivara National Park.
