Resumo: This research addresses the relationship between technology, theater and education in the Pro-Degree in Theatre teacher training program from the Federal University of Maranhão and the University of Brasilia. To this end, we developed a qualitative study that aimed to contribute to a reflection of their formative processes in relation to the use possibilities of contemporary technologies. In order to substantiate the study were considered theoretical proposals that characterize the relationship between technology and theater, teacher training from the perspective of TDICs and teacher theater training in contemporary theater primarily to issues pertinent to the advent of contemporary technologies. Following the literature review, analysis of official documents, the political pedagogical project and curricular guidelines for teacher training in contemporary theater, we infer that the Pro-Degree in Theatre, in the case of UFMA and UnB, despite the context of difficulties in the initial phase of the course covers the requirements for teaching in contemporary theater, to appreciate the local culture and consider the possibilities of TDICs to expand the possibilities of reading and production of various theatrical forms.
