Resumo: The Family Health Strategy is par excellence an area of interdisciplinary work, which is prescribed in all legislation and writings on the topic. The objective of this study was to analyze the social representations of professionals Centers of Support for Family Health (NASF) about interdisciplinary in their practices. The study is qualitative, descriptive and analytical, a critical- dialectical approach. The empirical field consisted of NASF Executive Secretariat Regional IV (SER IV), Fortaleza (CE). As techniques for data collection with participant observation records in a field diary and semi-structured interviews conducted between October 2013 and February 2014 were used. Informants are professionals and coordinators of the NASF SER IV. The sample size used the criterion of saturation. The analysis used the Depth Hermeneutics. Representations of interdisciplinary were organized into the following empirical categories: ongoing process; conducting joint activities and result of the commitment of the teams. The work process permeates all representations interfering much in perceptions about the practices developed. The paths taken point to a still embryonic interdisciplinary, a result of numerous intrinsic and extrinsic factors on the group itself. The difficulties arising from charges of productivity on the part of management, the incipient planning, insufficient training and further casualization of labor relations are elements that negatively affect the realization of interdisciplinary practices effectively. However, the subjects' statements also reveal numerous possibilities that are constructed in the health field and inspire overcoming the fragmentation of knowledge that operate in multiple collective perspective. There are challenges to interdisciplinary in NASF that must be overcome to ensure the effectiveness of its actions.
