Based on an agenda of studies on the processes and requirements for selecting "political elites" developed at the Laboratory for Studies on Political and Cultural Elites (LEEPOC), in this dissertation we understand the social bases, the varied investments and the principles of political legitimization of the national leaders of the "Novo Party". In this sense, through the analysis of various materials - such as the "memoirs" of the party's founders, institutional documents and information obtained from digital media on biographies, campaign funders and votes - we operated with: 1) the characterization of profiles of the agents (social origins, school degrees, professional careers and militant, political and cultural investments) and the relationship between social inscriptions and position-taking; 2) the systematization and exam of networks established and mobilized (in the fields of business, finance, politics, intellectuals...) by the agents throughout their trajectories; 3) and, finally, the identification of multiple ventures made by the party's protagonists, observing, above all, how the discursive strategies used are supported by business logics, are aimed at defending models of state management and reveal |
