ABSTRACT In face of the new educational conjuncture adopted with the worsening of the Sars-CoV-2 virus pandemic, some problems related to the hierarchical distancing between professors and students have arisen, characterized by the loss of dialogue and sharing of experiences, which results in a low incentive for student autonomy. The present research aims to conduct a design experiment in disciplines of the design course at the Federal University of Maranhão to analyze how they can contribute to participatory knowledge creation in online higher education. The artifact developed, entitled "set up your semester", consisted of a kit of activities sent to students from the discipline of history of design II. Consequently, the return of the kit of activities culminated in the discussion of students' wishes and the implementation of new dynamics, resulting in the collective construction of the subject, involving contents and assessments. After this experimentation, an evaluation phase is added, using the premises of the three-level evaluation, which sets up an in-depth evaluation distributed among the subjects involved in the study: research team, co-researchers, and peers. Notions collected and corroborated throughout the research were reaffirmed by the evaluation, assuring to the tool developed the ability to act in the intermediation of the conversation between teacher and students, in the influence to participation in class dynamics and in the establishment of dialogue. The recognition of the changing and highly adaptable characteristics of the probes points to their pertinent use in different disciplines that aim to go beyond the theoretical scope, contributing in a way to reinvigorate student autonomy. |
