Resumo: |
This study aimed to analyze the continuing education policy for school managers, implemented by the Program São Luís te Quero Lendo e Escrevendo (PSLTQLE) from the municipal board of education (SEMED), and its consequences in the management of public schools in São Luís from 2002 to 2008. The analysis was made through review of the literature about the Brazilian educational reforms, specifically the remodeling of State Policies, the changes in the government regarding the managerial model, the influence of international institutions in the educational reforms from the 1990s, the conceptions about and changes in school management related to the social, economic, and political contexts in Brazil, the educational system, and the methodological approach to qualitative research in the context of functioning focusing on the practices of democratic management of the education in the two schools in which the empirical research was conducted, one of them being from the rural area and the another from the urban area. In this context, we can infer that the continuing education of school managers from São Luís contributed to the insertion of democratic practices in the schools and to the strengthening of the current actions in the educational community. We support our analysis and we base our theoretical approach, through the theoretical support of mauthors, among which: Bordignon e Gracindo (2000, 2001, 2006), Cabral Neto (1999, 2007, 2009), Dourado (1998, 2006, 2010) Ferreira (2004, 2006) Frigotto (1993,1996, 2003), Libâneo (2001,2004), Mészaros (2007), Oliveira, (1997, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009). |
