Resumo: Electromagnetism is an important area of Physics that approaches some phenomena of nature in an elegant, robust and consistent way. The discovery and elucidation of their phenomenologies systematically contribute to the development of technologies that support us and provide us with considerable comfort today. We built a didactic sequence with the general objective of discussing the contents of electromagnetism having, as a background, the desire to develop students' learning autonomy. Our strategy was to organize the contents following the architecture of the Three Pedagogical Moments proposed by Angotti/Delizoicov/Pernambuco. We start from an initial problematization, linked to the daily life of students, which is present throughout the entire didactic sequence and, through a set of activities, students are developing increasingly consistent answers to this question. Throughout our research, we sought to observe, through the proposed activities, evidence of the development of learning autonomy in individuals. Specifically, situations will be analyzed in which we can evidence the development of reading, oral expression, writing and decision-making skills, characteristics that can be summarized in the word autonomy. Through a qualitative research, the students' textual productions, together with records made by the researcher during the process, consisted of the collection material from which, through appropriate analysis, we sought to identify evidence of learning autonomy. We justify the accomplishment of this study having as presupposition the collaboration for the formation of critical and influential citizens in the society in which we live, characteristics that are evidenced in autonomous people. We also hope that students will be able to distinguish the importance of electromagnetism as a relevant area of Physics.
