Resumo: Health involves several factors, both social and economic, which determine and influence people's health conditions. In Brazil, health is supported as a right of the Brazilian population in the Federal Constitution of 1988. The application of public resources is a constant concern for society and will always be questioned by each public administration in exercise. Health is one of the areas of application of public resources that raises the most questions, due to the reality of the lack of access by the most vulnerable part of the population, as well as the lack of structure and human resources to care for thousands of people, since the health design involves several sectors. This work has as its central theme the allocation of revenues in the health area, aiming at an investigation related to primary care, based on data from the municipality of Lavras, Minas Gerais. The study mapped the revenues allocated to the basic area of the Unified Health System in order to verify how these revenues are allocated, whether they reach the programs for which they are intended and what these investments in services or health actions for the population correspond to. All data were taken from the Public Health Budget Information System (SIOPS) and the Annual Management Report (RAG). Based on data extracted from both systems, the research tabulated the amounts invested in basic health care, analyzing the effects of investments with the morbidity indicator in its territory. In this way, it carried out the classification of the impact of these amounts on the performance of the health system in view of the reality of the investigated municipality.
