A mulher na administração da empresa familiar rural: o caso de um grupo de gestão agrícola em Santa Catarina

Resumo: The objective of this study was to verify the woman's participation in the process of production and administration of the small family farms, and her influence in the economic results. A group in the farm management in Santa Catarina was chosed to be used as a data base. To represent an economical result the positive return/ha. SAU of a farm accounting of the group was used. To verify the woman's participation in the production, a research was made in her real situation in the tasks of the three main activities that make part of the production systems of these enterprises. In order to verily the participation of the woman in the administration process, a research was made in the main administrative actions in the context of these enterprises. As a result of this work it was concluded that in the productive process the woman has a real participation in the tasks from three to thirty seven per cent. The participation in the productive process is required in the most critical moments of the enterprise, when there is a lake of manpower and mainly in the begining of the enterprise. There was no significant relationship between participation in production and economical result. In the administrative processo the woman's participation was more remarkable and steady, varying from twenty five tho thirty eight per cent. Although not in significant level, the woman’s participation in the administrative process showed positively involved with the economical results.
