Resumo: This dissertation was built as a scientific paper. The first paper entitled “Quality of life in teaching: integrative review” aimed at selecting, evaluating and critically analyzingthe publications that had as their main focus the QWL- quality of work life- in teaching. It is an integrative review of literature paper. The search was conducted in the Virtual Health Library – Biblioteca Virtual emSaúde (BVS), the United States National Library of Medicine (PubMED) and manual search of references in the selected studies, published since 2005. The sample of seven papers and a dissertation were integrated in this research. The factor related to QWL that showed worst rating was the fair and adequate remuneration/compensation, being presented with low and unsatisfactory scores in five articles. In contrast, the aspect that showed the best evaluation is related to the task significance, which obtained satisfactory results in six articles. It was concluded that the aspects related to remuneration/fair compensation should obtain greater attention by educational institutions, in order to improve the QWL in teaching. The second paper is entitled: “Quality of life in physiotherapy teacher’s job in Goiânia-GO” whose aim was to analyze the QWL from the Physiotherapy course professors in this municipality. It is a cross-sectional and descriptive study, with 65 professors. The inclusion criteria covered physiotherapists and physiotherapy course professors in Goiânia, of both sexes and all ages. The participants who were excluded were the ones removed from teaching activity for any reason, with less than six months of teaching practice, which had temporary professional registration with the Regional Council of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy and those who answered the questionnaire incompletely.A questionnaire with social demographic data and the Total Quality of Work Life (TQWL-42) questionnaire was used. It was found that teachers who had other activities presented significantly better averages than those who worked only at graduation. Satisfaction with income and with teaching activity also showed significant results, influencing the QWL of the participants. Conclusions: the literature review could determine which aspects of QWL were better and worse evaluated by teachers; The original article verified the profile of physiotherapists teachers. It showed that positions and workplaces that promote greater autonomy, decision-making, recognition and social position, and a positive self-analysis regarding income and work satisfaction, directly influenced the QWL of physiotherapists professors who teach in Physical Therapy graduation.
