Resumo: This work is centered on the study of the Hip Hop movement as an agent of memories, from the anthropological perspective. I intend to examine how the community linked to the Hip Hop movement is activating categories such as history, memory and heritage for a struggle in search of social justice. The research is developed in the light of the notion of social markers of differences, searching to understand the relationships and identity issues with regard to the Hip Hop movement. I also address ethnographic experiences in relation to otherness and positionality in the movement, through the lens of Anthropology. I analyze two processes, which are more closely intertwined: the application for registration of Hip Hop as Intangible Heritage of Goiânia and the process of musealization of Hip Hop with the creation of a community museum associated with the Centro de Referência da Juventude, in Goiânia. Finally, I present the Hip Hop movement as an agent of memories able to build peripheral contranarratives.
