Resumo: This dissertation sought to analyze the field of country music in Goiânia through bibliographical references and interviews and answers to questionnaires proposed to agents included in the environment. Based on Bourdieu's theory, applying the theories of fields, habitus, cultural capital and the notion of taste, we sought to understand how country music came to compose the habitus of Goiás in order to understand this strong regional cultural representation. The social construction and development of this society made the local culture what it is, modern and urbanized, but with rural heritages from the interior. In this sense, it was also investigated the agents inserted in the field in question, the positions occupied, as well as the strategies adopted by them. A dynamic field was observed where agents engage in class struggles aiming at obtaining and accumulating the capital present in the environment, which is highly influenced by finance capital.
