Resumo: The present study presented in this dissertation refers to human rights education in police training, with the purpose of identifying the pedagogical practices employed, based on the analysis of the curricular contents, the content of the discipline of Human Rights, as well as the role of others Disciplines of the training courses, with the purpose of developing a comparative study with the indicators of deaths in military police interventions in service, based on the data extracted from the 10th Annual Public Security Yearbook. The methodological cut would involve, in principle, the five states of the Federation that presented the highest indications of in-service police lethality and the five states with the lowest indexes, which has undergone adaptations, in the face of the scarcity of responses from most states. The investigation, which encompassed components of police training (content variables, time load, faculty and others) and police lethality. The research focused on bibliographic review and documentary analysis, based on historical, comparative and hypothetical deductive methods. Finally, in terms of final considerations, the negative and positive aspects of police training, including the approach of new training strategies, were discussed, from the point of view of human rights education.
