This dissertation proposes to construct arguments to the possibility of human rights universalization from Rousseau. To this end, the investigative effort, which brings elements: address the political, social and economic context in which the author's work is inserted, and the consequent inequalities arising there from; having a conception of man to evolve into an implicated morality with himself, with the other members of the community and the world; defend a conception of freedom and equality, while original condition the man, who turns into political right, to the extent that man lives in society and in this place is recognized as a historical subject.. In this sense, the possibility of human rights universalization from Rousseau implies the imbrication of different philosophical arguments for the claim.
