Our overall aim in this dissertation is to develop an analysis based on some case studies on how was proceeded the formulation and dissemination of the ideology of a key moment of the history of Brazil: the New State (1937 - 1945). The historiographical development of this objective will be effected through an analysis of institutional practices from the center of power (National State) to the regional government of the State of Goiás, practices perceived through the journals Cultura Política (Rio de Janeiro) and Oeste (Goiânia ) and mediated with emphasis on a study of intellectual history focusing on institutional action of Paulo Augusto de Figueiredo. Through the path of Paulo de Figueiredo we historically realize how ideological connections between the federal capital and the center of the country have been organized in the process of consolidation of the New State
