Human sciences usually deal with issues related to the variation of the object they study. Therefore, they have to face the dilema of understanding themselves as science or not, since formalism is left aside, and the reasonable observation of the phenomena is privileged, plenty of times. That is what is observed in Lingüistics and in Law studies, since both work with the relation among individuals. This thesis presents issues in Linguistics related with the production of forensic texts. The study tries to estabilish a connection between the two sciences, understanding that, with the Linguistic help, Law studies would present more eficacy. In this work we try to identify the main problems in the production of forensic texts, in order to propose further solutions that would guarantee their eficacy. This thesis proposes that one of the major problems in the forensic discourse is that it is not presented in Brazilian Portuguese, and it would generate misunderstandings in those people who is interested in the process itself, although not being lawyers. It could generate social exclusión, since the Access to justice would be neglected. It is proposed that the forensic texts should be adequated to social needs, and it could happen with the help of Linguistics.
