Resumo: | Studies of innovation are usually developed in the industrial sector, but these theories can not be transferred to service sector with the same efficiency because they have a different dynamic. The Social Network Analysis (ARS) and the inventory Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) have been suggested as tools for the identification of innovative individuals. The use of this tool helps to understand the innovation process in health. This study aims to identify the psychological types of professionals working in health care and their position in organizational social networks focused on innovation. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered in a health facility in the city of Rio de Janeiro, and transferred to two software-Ucinet and MBTI version 1.0-Inspiira to identify innovative individuals within their work environment. A case study was developed from data collected from a sample of 37 professionals with diverse backgrounds who work in this unit. The results showed that individuals identified as central to the innovation process presented the Intuition (N) dimension, pointed as an indicator of individuals who have a higher propensity to generate innovative ideas. The association between ARS and the MBTI proved to be promising for the identification of innovative individuals and their better employment within organizations. |
