Resumo: The objective of this thesis is to investigate the relationshop between the strategies of midiatic visibility developed by the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST), and the news coverage performed by some of the most important brazilian press media. The study starts from the hypothesis that the landless are able to create a Nomad War Machine , as it is proposed by Deleuze and Guattari studies. From the land occupation metodology, the movement changes the striated space of the private property into a smooth space of contestation. This process of deterritorialization allows to the moviment the arise of a midiatic occupation, through which MST promoves a total re-interpretation of events, the world and past facts memories. The journalism instance, as the responsible for the administration of global flows of information, sees itself obligated to control the hegemonic senses violently threaten for the landless action. Therefore, this work proposes the concept of discoursive ruin with the porpouse of describe the range of possibilities conquested by this constestating political actor whose one of its major objectives is to be able to guide the journalistic cover, even when it is adverse to himself. The final hypothesis is that MST, when notices its visibility actions ruined, promotes the discoursive ruin of the aparently journalistic objectivity. As the analysis of articles here developed alows us to conclude, that objective is reached as long as the landless actions make evident the discoursive control performed by press
