Resumo: This dissertation was intended to characterize the current Pedagogy of the Earth in Minas Gerais, implemented by the MST in partnership with the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). In the act's implementation of the course there was the accession of other social movements of the field, linked to Via Campesina in Brazil. We try to analyze the principles of political-educational project for training, and the process of implementation of this course, which has as main goal the training of educators to work in schools in the field. In that sense, it is necessary to know the experience of teacher training in order to understand the parameters in which it occurs, considering that there are many challenges for the implementation of a proposal of this stamp. For this, a search was conducted qualitative in nature, with the procedural tools for data collection to analysis of documents, semi-structured interviews and implementation of questionnaires. Data from research shows that the course Pedagogy of the Earth, despite the challenges that are set in their implementation, is for students enrolled in it an opportunity to construct and carry out in practice the Field of Education, for many years, as demanded by the social movements field, and represent a further step in the struggle for the realization of public policies for teacher training, targeted to schools of the field.
