Resumo: The dialogical process within organizations presents complex aspects, particularly in terms of the relationship between a company and its external audience, especially with the communities surrounding its economic activities. In this case, the complexity is augmented. This study seeks to contribute to the discussion on the social dialogue between stakeholders, specifically regarding the dialogue occurring (or not occurring) between companies and the communities surrounding their operations, drawing on the assumption that citizens have less power than companies, presenting an unequal array of information. The dialogical process within organizations presents complex issues, especially when we talk about the relationship between the company and its external public, particularly with the communities surrounding its economic activities. Our methodology involved a quantitative survey with a convenient sample of participants, and a qualitative survey, such as case studies, aiming to identify how the issue of a dialog between company and community can positively or negatively impact Corporate Social Responsibility, generating tangible and intangible costs for both company and communities.
