The objective of this dissertation is to present and to discuss the variables involved in the understanding of the vibration in the human body in the occupational area proposing an improvement of the administration of the occupational programs that should involve this important physical agent. With the understanding of the processes of the evaluation and of the consequences of the exhibition to the individuals' vibrations, as well as approach in the form of interviews with some actors in the area of occupational vibrations, it tried to motivate the implementation of some technical and administrative measures, and, to create reliable procedures using as base the metrology. In this sense an initial revision of the specialized literature was made and, in parallel the development of practical study about measurement and evaluation of occupational vibration. Considering these aspects an improvement proposal in the area of administration of health and leaning safety in metrology of occupational vibration is presented, in way to contribute for the development of technological and administrative activities that can minimize the problems of the exhibition to the vibrations with focus in the social responsibility. And of this it sorts things out, to motivate the improvement of systems of administration of the unhealthy agents' control through the most evident insert of the prevention of vibrations in the documents demanded by the responsible government organs by the Safety and Occupational Health and the prevention programs, control, administration and profile profissiográfico recommended by the Brazilian regulation. As result is presented a program elaborated for control and risk prevention to the exhibition of vibrations, that later will consolidate with the considerations on the theoretical foundations and the studied cases, aiming at with that the obtaining of knowledge for a good practice of administration of SSO, based on occupational metrology of vibrations.
