Resumo: | This study aims to identify, through a bibliographic study, the main legal and technical requirements for Health, Environment and Safety (HES) for the design of chemical laboratories. Initially, the author dealt with the identification of the main sources of information, publications and national, foreign, and international institutions related to aspects of HES in chemical laboratories. The next step was the identification and ordering of the main legal and technical requirements of HES, general and specific to guide the development of basic projects and detailing projects of chemical laboratories. The literature review included: the HES Brazilian legislation; Brazilian, foreign, and international technical standards; books, thesis, and dissertations; chemical laboratory design manuals, other publications, which includes the series "Laboratories for the 21st Century", edited the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy, articles, handouts, presentations, and projects of construction and renovation of chemical laboratories. The core part of the study is to describe the general requirements of HES, which have an overall impact on the design of the chemical laboratory, as well as the specific requirements covering access to individuals, chemicals, civil design, lighting, electrical design, ventilation system, hoods, collective protective equipment and ergonomics, among others. |
