Resumo: | This dissertation deals with the evaluation practices of social projects, the objective is to examine the intersection of these trends from a survey of organization of each sector of the economy. The 90‟s in Brazil were noticed by a strong expansion of the Third Sector. Several organizations with specific social objects came up to a new scenario for this sector in our country. In parallel to this movement it was also noticed the advent of the Social Responsibility in Business companies. It was observed during the same period of time a large investment in development and implementation of social projects. During this period of expansion, it is observed that the lack of a management model, the weakness of measuring results and monitoring processes eventually resulted in a waste of resources - human, material and financial. At the same time, the lack of control on the real impact of actions in order to assess whether the investment was actually relevant or not, appeared to be the major weakness when implementing and operating social projects, whether it was in the government, the private sector or in civil society organizations. This paper aims to identify complementarity areas between the sectors regarding the evaluation of social projects, so that we can identify trends and challenges for these organizations. It was evident throughout the survey, despite the relevance of the evaluation processes of social projects identified in the theoretical framework that the practice of these processes still faces many challenges and is very poor. It is urgent that social organization performances are devoted to more investment in order to improve its evaluation processes and thereby enhancing their social effectiveness and management performance. |
