The practice of corporate social responsibility (CSR) has been increasing, putting in evidence the understanding by organizations about their relationship with stakeholders. The discipline of project management recommends the use of a system of indicator to measure project results. In the social area, the social indicators translate into quantitative factors social realities, in national and international scenario. After a preliminary analysis of the literature, consensus about how to build an indicator system that is adapted to each type of social projects and flexible about the use of social indicators according the theme of action was not found. Based on this background, this dissertation aims to propose a model to guide the construction of a system of indicators for CSR projects, which considers social indicators. To meet the overall objective, the literature review identified adaptable models for CSR or social projects. Based on the study of these models, it was possible to consolidate its dimensions of analysis, considering the construction of the model. The development of the model also considers the contributions of field research that was based on a study of three cases listed in the private sector organizations that conduct CSR projects. Therefore, this dissertation is supported by multiple case studies as a research strategy, qualitative evaluation method and sources of evidence collected through participant observation, document analysis, log on files and semistructured interviews. Data analysis found the overall strategy of case description and analytical technique of combining standard. With the proposed model to guide the construction of a system of indicators for CSR projects that encourage the use of social indicators, the goal of this dissertation has been achieved, which in itself highlights the opportunity for continuing studies to verify the application practice model in different organizations. As the main contribution to the academy, this dissertation approaches the discipline of Project Management in the context of social projects and CSR. As a contribution to the practice, encourages the dissemination of systematic management practices and evaluation of results in CSR projects. |
