Solid wastes have been considered as a difficult problem for humanity. They are straightly associated to people growth and migration to urban areas. Urban solid waste management associates social participation to collecting, transportation, treatment and final dispose processes in municipalities. Studies to incentive the creation of recyclable searchers cooperative societies promote technique, economic and social alternatives to improve life quality for habitants of brazilian municipalities. This study presents a proposal in inserting cooperative societies of plastic recyclable searchers in Itaguaí, RJ, Brazil, to improve life quality to needy people. The study holds aspects of concept, classification, gestion, model, process, market and legislation related to environment, solid wastes, recycle and co-operative societies, so as other aplicable specificities
