Resumo: Supporting in the conceptuals propositions of the routine management, the present work had as main objective to know the managers and employees perception of the heavy maintenance area of an airline company on the impact on processes and knowledge resulting from the implementation and practice of the routine management in the production management. It also aimed to identify, for each of the analysed itens, its importance to results achievement. To achieve this objective, the research used structured questionnaires to describe the perception of managers and employees working in the different organizational areas of the heavy maintenance regarding the impact of improvements resulting from the implementation and practice of the routine management. The research was applied in the organizational unit responsible for the aircrafts heavy maintenance, involving all the functions managing, supervisioning/ coordination, leadership and operations, summing up 88 employees. It was verified that the respondents notice improvements in operational and managerial processes and in the knowledge development and management. It was also verified that the respondents notice positive impacts in the implementation and practice of the routine management, although this perception is less favorable in the operational function.
