Resumo: The present dissertation proposes a set of environmental indicators for use in new or updated enterprise involving industrial construction and assembly contractors based in the ISO 14031 categories. The study also checks the use of some indicators in the organization s balanced scorecard. The object is the engineering division of a big energy company responsible for industrial construction and assembly contractors. Data, documents of the organization s management system and interviews with environmental technicians involved in the environmental management are used. It also analyses the possibility to measure the effort of this division to contribute in the transition, from environmental point of view, of the organization s profile from a petroleum company to a energy company.
