Resumo: | This thesis aims to reflect on the institutionalized "reading", in short, the process of reading considered through its specificity of school activity. We examine how the reading process conducted at school causes the development of a specific gender of reader: the reader-student, whose practice of reading does not feature a reader outside the school. Initially, we will try to define, along the Brazilian reality, what kind of reader the school aims to train and what prerequisites are necessary to consider a student an efficient reader within the institutionalized space. Thus, we can identify the causes responsible for the developed practices by the school which are not usually reaching their goals. The work was developed based on work "Repensando a leitura na escola: um outro mosaico by SILVA (2002) to prepare suggestions of practical work with reading in school that aim at developing strategies of reading which leads the reader to understand the inseparable relationship among language, knowledge, and society |
