These three concepts were grouped into an increasingly wellknown acronym in the workplace - SHE - being built along other concepts such as "Profit" and "Social Responsibility", on strategic maps of business really concerned about its sustainability. For this work was performed a literature search showing the history of workplace safety over time, the evolution of theoretical concepts and practice of accidents analysis that have been developed to minimize them. Were collected statistics on accidents without leave on ships, which have the theoretical basis for the possible occurrence of personal accidents on board and, based on these data, properly analyzed, are presented guidelines for the minimization of accidents involving workers on ships.
