Resumo: |
The consequences caused by accidents at work in the rural environment of Parana, have been very serious, especially the deteriorating quality of life, the pursuit of profit at any price. In the period 1976 to 1982, the author participated in a survey that described the accidents in the rural environment of the State of Paraná, and given the interest in the subject attempted to do new research framework to assess the latest of these accidents in order to compare both research. Evaluating this context governed generally by the labor laws on safe working environment, and adding the fact that after twenty-eight years of the first evaluation of such accidents, the results show is still unsatisfactory. Considering these data, this study was developed in order to describe the accidents in rural areas of Parana, from the hospital in the period 2003 to 2007, comparing the results with previous research (1976-1982) describing the different types of accidents. To develop the theme, were used as methods of analysis, the hypothetical-deductive and dialectical, and as a method of procedure, the comparison, because it is a field research. Mailings were sent to 450 hospitals by obtaining information from 124 accidents coming from 50 hospitals, therefore, a very low response rate. In the discussion, were analyzed topics such as concepts, developments, issues of law, constitutional principles, costs and other issues relating to accidents at work in the rural environment. The results showed in the types of accidents, similar to the previous search, but acidentes increased with a scythe, ax and saw. An accident decreased by insecticide use and those due to increased use of fungicides and herbicides, as well as those by biting and / or bites of venomous animals. Other results are presented compared to those of previous research. It follows that the effective monitoring of occupational accidents is a positive alternative, noting that in the future, the results to be obtained will depend basically on the satisfactory implementation of legal regulation, a new awareness of rural workers and supervision of the government. |
