Resumo:	The purpose of this thesis is to highlight how the literary text can become an important tool for language learning. We present the possibility of planning activities which, having literary texts as their springboard, develop students linguistic competence. The study of the orality of language, here emphasized, is just one of the several possibilities that the literary text allows.
