Resumo: The development of disaster risk mappings associated with landslides in Brazil have been carried out since the last century, but have become commonly used intruments for management purposes in recent decades, especially with the recent action, promulgation of LEI 12,608 / 2012 that Established the new National Policy on Civil Protection and Defense. This research sought to develop risk mapping for landslides with hybrid methodology and to analyze risk mapping methodologies developed within federal and state governments, after the promulgation of this LEI and the adequacy of these documents to it and to compare them. The analysis proceeded to the limit of the Urban Headquarters of the municipality of Santa Teresa - ES and a small extrapolation of this limit for new occupation areas that are still in the consolidation phase. The analysis confirmed benefits in the use of data processing in GIS environment and the attribution of weights to the variables analyzed through map algebra, being this a priori and the main difference in the development of these mappings. This also brings another benefit, as we can extrapolate the risk rating made punctually in the other documents, for an entire area such as the study area in question. The field stage confirmed the alteration of risk sectors, now qualified as medium and high, to high and very high respectively, as well as discrepancies for some risk sectors that in the other documents were classified as medium and that presented in this, low qualification, It is understood that this factor may have been modified due to the conditions of the Vulnerability variable that makes up the Risk formula used here. In spite of the advantages in relation to the short time of development of this analysis in the office and much less expensive, it does not exempt the field validation, that can refine the product giving greater details of the morphodynamic relief’s conditin and also with respect to the Vulnerability, seen that the data used for this variable refer to the Demographic Census of 2010 that is made every ten years, regardless of the use of more recent data, or refine them for this type of work, so that the mapping presents a greater accuracy.
