Resumo: | The theoretical and technical development, throughout the existence of sciences related to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), point to the evolution of factors to be considered and observed in order to maintain healthy and safe conditions at work. Several areas are producing knowledge in the psychosocial field at work, among them Psychology. The theory of social representations (SRT) was adopted in this research as a theoretical contribution to understand contextual, conceptual and practical factors of the professional practice of the psychologist in the field of health and safety at work, with a virtual questionnaire being applied and part analyzed of data from the IRAMUTEQ Software and another part through content analysis. Thus, this research aimed to identify concepts and practices of psychologists working in occupational health and safety (OSH) demands about this field of work in psychology, with 31 psychologists working continuously/not occasional in this field. The significant conceptual definition of performance is centered on mental health, behavior, prevention and training/development. The results found also showed data on training, professional performance, theoretical support, challenges, practical feasibility and impacts of performance, serving as a reference in the development of this possible specialty in psychology. |
