Resumo: Higher Education Institutions (IES) should promote sustainability through their teaching, research and extension activities, and adopt sustainable practices in their managerial and operational activities. The Environmental Agenda in Public Administration (A3P) is a federal government program that aims to incorporate and guide sustainable practices in the activities of these institutions. In this context, the present work had the objective of analyzing the socioenvironmental actions at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES) - campus of Alegre, under the perspective of A3P. For this, positive aspects, needs and needs were identified, and the level of sustainability of its operations was established. The data were collected through a questionnaire, applied to managers, based on an Environmental Management System (EMS) diagnostic model, based on ISO 14001 and adapted to the A3P axes. In addition, extension projects and disciplines that address sustainability were identified and could contribute to the institution's actions. The results show weaknesses in relation to the definition of the environmental policy and the establishment of environmental objectives and goals that direct the actions on campus. Regarding the sustainable public procurement axis, a good performance was verified, since the actions oriented by the other axes of the A3P, although they exist, are mostly underserved, not presenting, in a general way, systematic or standardization of their routines. As a result, the campus was classified in level 3 of sustainability, requiring adjustments to the A3P deployment. In addition, it was verified that the methodology used is an agile and comprehensive form, constituting a first step to become aware of and rethink the institutional sustainability. Finally, the analysis carried out from the managers' perspective made it possible to identify the actions that need intervention and also, those that can contribute to the strengthening of the socio-environmental commitment of UFES - Alegre campus.
