Resumo: By telling stories, this dissertation intended an analysis of the practices of social workers and psychologists who act as specialists in the Family and Probate Court of the Capixaba Judiciary. We started this work with a historical recovery guided by Foucault around the legal forms and then discuss how the legalization of everyday events has become the sign of our social organization, and the way it marks the practices of social workers and psychologists who work in the socio-legal field from the state of Espírito Santo. For such intent, institutional spaces for dialogue and professionals continuing education served as investigation fields for this research, what allowed favorable moments of sharing feelings, beliefs, activities and professional inventions, and the researcher"s daily life itself working in the Family and Probate Court of the city of Vitória. Our main research tool was the field diary, whose event records, narratives, political views, feelings and difficulties, not only of the professionals with whom we work with, but also of the researcher itself, allowed the understanding of analyzers in full operation and the composition of a sensitive resource for the presentation of the results: the tale. In this way, using the conceptstools of Institutional Analysis, we guided our investigation by analyzers that unveiled operating modes established in that occupational space, which provoked some destabilization of the knowledge/power of those professional categories, revealing the resistance forms that have been forged by everyday life in favor of an ethicalpolitical stance in defense of life amidst its recurring legalization. We affirm with these tales life in its capacity to defer, to expand their versions, to proliferate worlds and meanings. Thus, we seek to tensioning knowledges, powers and truths, and a new way of inhabiting the judiciary by investing in transversal and cross-sectoral practices to strengthen struggles and to affirm the commitment to freedom as a power of life.
