Resumo: This study aims to analyze the distribution of geomorphology dynamic facts to the identification of natural hazard areas. The objective of this research was, from the treatment and acquisition stages, relevant to the geomorphologic investigation, to show a methodology of perception of the natural hazard areas resulting from procedural dynamics related to the formulation of the ground landscape. Based on geomorphological methodology research supported by the Geographic Information Systems techniques, the landscape characteristics studied were identified as well as environmental predominance and landscaping in which they are established from. The methodological purpose was based on the understanding of the landscape in three different levels of approach – topographical subdivision, landscape physiology – which geomorphologic summary is consisted in the development of synthetic cartographic models. It was also possible to understand the landscape as a component of the environmental systems, and from the studying of its current and past structures and dynamics; it is possible to analyze the ground environment in which all the environmental factors – climate, landscape, vegetation, soil, geology, soil usage, among others – must be studied together. To better structure the methodological sequence and techniques to be applied in this research lay out, a special cutting was marked off which contained favorable characteristics to the development of the proposition of this project, which had as one of its concerns the proposition of this geomorphology research model focused on the identification of natural hazards. Through bibliographic researches, office and field study and design of cartographic thematic series, which reflected the physical-natural contexts of the environments studied, the analysis and final conformations of this project was enabled.
