Resumo: | This research aimed to investigate the meaning of friendship among young adults by analyzing narratives generated from the production of photographic images. The use of photography was done by the photo-production technique, which consisted of asking the participants to photograph situations representing friendship, using cameras from mobile phones. In a second phase, a depth interview was conducted, when the photographs and their own production process were the elements asked for the promotion of narratives that later had their content analyzed with the intention of seeking common ground between them, that could somehow be characterized as representative of the concepts and aspects of friendship. Eight participants were selected from both sexes, college students of the Great Victory aged between 18 and 29 years. The data were analyzed in the light of studies on friendship and on personal photography. The results presented visual and narrative data supporting the ability of photography to be a research tool that helps to elucidate the theme, helping the participants to have a better understanding of their friendships. In view of the current facilities for shooting and the increasing use of images in relations Internetmediated, we believe that a better understanding of the relationship between photography and friendship is an important contribution to the understanding of friendship today. |
