The present research analyses the Dutch Provos. A heterogeneous conglomerate of highly creative individuals, who shared common ideas, whose trajectory lasted from 1965 to 1967.The investigation, begins with the transitions and ruptures that occurred within the sociocultural and political context enlivened in the sixties, leading to concepts such as zeitgeist and counterculture. The research focuses then on the particularities of the location where Provos was formed, such as exhibitions and the first happenings in Dutch artistic context. The presentation and investigation about Dutch Provos and the imminent performance within artistic fields required a specif aproach from one of its leading names, Robert Jasper Grootveld for his importance from the birth of the idea that would become Provo, to the prelude to themes, agendas, strategies, and the resonances of this overwhelming wave that was the Dutch Provos.
