Resumo: |
The present research aimed to capture the perspective of the peasants involved in the experience of building the agro-village of Aracoiaba, CE. To gather and analyze what the research subjects say, the resettlement and construction of the Aracoiaba dam were particularly addressed, followed by addressing access to Project São José - III, milestones offered by the research subjects themselves, farmers who are the main protagonists of this action. Through the methodology of participatory research, a path was taken covering the initial proposals (since the year 2000) to the present day (2024), with this temporal cut chosen to focus on the experience. The chosen discursive field involved theoretical-practical reflections on the geopolitical context of the research. In this contradictory space, we highlight: the institutionalization of political and social discourse on the northeastern drought polygon; the progressiveness of drought approaches that have culminated in proposals for coexistence with the semi- arid region; the history of public policies and actions to combat poverty; the issue of water resources and how these themes intersect with ideas about sustainable development and rural education. It was observed in the process of building the Aracoiaba agro-village, regarding resettlement, that after twenty-two years the peasants still do not have title deeds to the land, and that in the issue of the dam, irrigation of the resettled lands has also not been achieved, showing that such incompleteness, like land regularization, highlights logics that are subject to fluctuations in dominant politics. Another consideration is the critique of a technical vision; it is proposed that in its feasibility, it may have a transdisciplinary approach and not depoliticize the reading of realities, nor the prisms of rural education, which grant peasants a place as subjects. Land ownership (in practice), planting, harvesting, and processing in food production, in Project São José III, show that the experience of the agro-village was worthwhile, considering part of the process and course still underway, reading the lessons learned from collective practice. |
