Resumo: |
The Hydraulic Gradient Comparison Method (HGCM) is a computational process used to calibrate the hydraulic conductivity. It was recently developed as an alternative method to the conventional approach. The traditional method uses the differences between calculated and observed heads. The HGCM objective function is developed based on the differences between the hydraulic gradients. Some recent studies have adopted HGCM, proving its computational efficiency in the search for solutions to the inverse problem. In this work, it will be developed a plugin to the Geographic Information System gvSIG for the simulation and calibration of the hydraulic conductivity in groundwater flow. The programming language used in this development will be Java. The software MODFLOW will be used to simulate the groundwater flow and for the calibration process the HGCM will be used. The method efficiency will be evaluated based on the error functions: Root Mean Square Error of Heads (RMSEH), Root Mean Square Error of Gradient (RMSEG) and by the mean angle between the calculated and observed models |
