Resumo: The proper care for newborns has been a major challenge to reduce premature death rates in Brazil. Despite the importance of monitoring the newborn in all levels of complexityThe articulation of this care is still timid and fragile, and the follow-up of these babies almost done predominantly in hospitals. Since the guarantee of the results and the quality of care is associated with the presence of the attributes of primary health care. The choice of this theme and APS versus Prematurity ratio was mainly due to my experience as a nurse in the Family Health Strategy, where the Primary Health Care are offered to the premature children in a piecemeal fashion, with little insertion thereof in Primary. Therefore, objective of this research was to evaluate attention to the premature children in the Family Health Strategy, under the perception of caregivers and health professionals, in a small city, the interior of Ceará. Search evaluative, cross with a quantitative approach. The study was conducted in Senador Pompeu, using a sample of 28 caregivers of premature infants born in 2018, and the sample of 14 health professionals of the Family Health Strategy. Data collection was conducted through individual interviews with the application of the instrument, already validated, PCATool-Brazil, conducted in households or health services. The analysis was done by means of score calculation for each attribute, and the association testComparison of k groups. The profile of caregivers / family members that females prevailed, predominantly their mothers with low educational level and socioeconomic. The Coordination attributes - integration of care and Family Guidance scored low in view of family members or caregivers. From the perspective of health professionals, all attributes, longitudinality, Coordenação- Integration care and family guidance were evaluated favorably, contradicting the opinion of family members or caregivers. The Family Guidance attribute significantly associated with the level of education of the respondents. Thus, it proved the fragility in the health care services of premature child, indicating the need forimprove care practices producing better results in the care of premature infant.
